Sneak Preview: RPG X

I know RPG Architect has not officially reached 1.0 status, and I know that I said that I had no intention of making an RPG Architect 2… However, since RPG Maker decided to give a sneak peak of its next variant, it seemed appropriate to finally announce something that I’ve been coding in my sleep, with thanks to my new Neuralink implant…

Welcome to RPG X! The only limit is your own imagination!

I’ve gone COMPLETELY back to the drawing board and realized what we’ve been missing. I know folks have been asking for “simpler workflows,” “better documentation,” and more, but I realized that what we really needed was Artificial Intelligence everywhere, always. Actual creativity isn’t needed — the AI handles that for you.

RPG X will ship embedded in a peripheral AI holographic projector that will require three USB-C ports to power. You discuss your ideas with Sakura, the AI Agent, and she builds everything for you. You still have the ability to go and click around or test run the game, but Sakura will handle all of the scripting, dialogue, art, music, and any creative decisions. You just have to ask her, nicely.

We are also introducing micro-transactions to allow you to adjust Sakura’s outfits. There are several outfits that will be included, such as “Tough Army Girl” and “Halloween Cat.” For an additional price, Sakura will be swappable with a male variant, “Haru.”

RPG X is expected to ship on April 1, 2027 for $899. It will not ship with the three dedicated cables or adapters for the wall, so you’ll need to purchase those separately.

We hope you are excited for this brand new product! Long live, RPG X!
